The FHC has approximately 1,100 uncatalogued nineteenth- and twentieth-century printer's plates. Most were created in 1933 to produce the Foster Hall Reproductions: Stephen Collins Foster Songs and Compositions. There are also a few twentieth-century plates used in printing books.
Among the nineteenth century plates are those used to create early editions of Foster's works. A detailed description follows:
