Original manuscript of Foster's first published song, "Open Thy Lattice Love," published on December 7, 1844.  The lyrics to the song were taken from a poem by George Pope Morris.  The original manuscript is lost (this is a photographic reproduction from Evelyn Foster Morneweck's The Chronicles of Stephen Foster's Family) and there were substantial differences between the piano accompaniment of this manuscript and the accompaniment of the published version (2nd picture below)
