What does Alpha Kappa Alpha mean to you? In addition to the classic sisterhood and service response, Alpha Kappa Alpha, to me, exemplifies change. Since our beginnings in 1908 we have been at the forefront, ever initiating programs and service to the black community. Alpha Kappa Alpha continuously proved to be an organzation that could step up to the plate and provide opportunites to those in need. Today, still, we are taking initiative, creating innovate programs for the college campus and beyond. Alpha Kappa Alpha embodies perserverance and passion.

What does Alpha Kappa Alpha mean to you? Alpha Kappa Alpha means so much to me! Of course it means sisterhood, service to all mankind, and the continuum of a legacy that was paved 100 years ago, but the name only of my beloved sorority invokes a feeling... that I can not begin to describe. I look forward cultivating the bonds that I have thanks to my beloved sorority and continuing to uphold and exceed the standards that those before me have set as a model for all to see.
