Bioactive Nanomaterials

The discovery of carbon nanotubes has attracted enormous attention over the past decade due to their potential significance in research toward nano-world. Nanotubes have much promise as advanced materials for use in several applications ranging from small molecular wires to drug encaptulation to the biosensors. However, only a few classes of nanotubes can form nanotube structures under certain extremely conditions. Here we are using a simple approach for the synthesis of uniform bioactive nanotubes in water with inner diameters of 35 nm and wall thicknesses of 30 nm using molecular self-assembly.
