Gradient Array of Degradable and Nondegradable Scaffold for Tissue Engineering

New ideas arises steadily to optimize and develop tissue engineered scaffolds for culturing cells for various therapeutic application. Different biodegradable polymers particularly Lactides and Glycolides are used as a scaffold with specified porosity in a gradient manner. We are assessing these degradable gradient polymers as an exogenous ECM to study the cellular interaction between degradable and non-degradable matrix. The aim of this project is to design synthetic ECM with degradable gradient property to enhance natural tissue growth and to mimic natural extra cellular matrix.
