My name is Andrew Bell. I was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on September 27, 1989. I have two younger sisters. One is a junior in high school and the other is a freshman. I went to Bishop O'Reilly High School, which closed for my senior year and merged with two other high schools to form Holy Redeemer High School. The merger was very difficult, especially because it was my senior year. However, I did meet my girlfriend, Gabrielle, as a result of the merger which was one positive aspect.
Throughout high school I played basketball, golf, and track and earned a varsity letter in all three. On the track team I did the triple, high, and long jumps and recently got 3rd place in the District tournament for the triple jump. I also love to ski in the winter and have been doing so since I was four years old. In addition to athletics, I also love music. I play the drums, guitar, and piano. I like to play and listen to rock, blues, and alternative styles of music. When I was sixteen I got my first car, a 1999 Honda Civic Si. It has about one hundred twenty thousand miles on it, but it still runs great and is in perfect condition. I enjoy working on my car and equipping it with modifications. So far it has a custom exhaust and a cold air intake installed. After college, I hope to completely rebuild it. Furthermore, during the summer I either work at a golf club or for a landscaping company. When I am not working or at school, I like to spend time with my girlfriend, friends, and family.
I recently turned nineteen years old and am a freshman student at the University of Pittsburgh. I am currently in the Swanson School of Engineering and am highly undecided as to whether I want to be an engineer or not. If I stick with this major, I will probably become a civil or mechanical engineer. If not, my other option is physical therapy because I like biology and have a great history of sports related injuries.
