Mount of Olives pictures

We had crossed the Kidron Valley to the Mount of Olives, part of which can be seen in this shot, with olive trees in the foreground.

One of our stops on the Mount of Olives was the Church of All Nations. From its grounds we could look across the valley to the wall of the city of Jerusalem. In the center is the blocked up Gate Beautiful and if you look closely you can see the very top of the golden Dome of the Rock structure on the temple mount.

Inside the Church is a painting of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Appropriately, an olive tree, on the Mount of Olives, in the garden of the Church of all Nations. This one is old and gnarled. A source of wood, fruit and oil.
