Benefits and Welfare

Mission Statement (revised October 2004)

The Senate Committee on Benefits and Welfare is concerned with the broad areas of Health, Welfare, and Benefits for active faculty, retired faculty, and staff at the University of Pittsburgh. The Committee is an advocate for protecting, advancing, and improving the status of active faculty, retired faculty, and staff interests in all matters related to health, benefits, and university services. The Benefits and Welfare Committee functions in a consultative role in the process of shared governance through discussion with Human Resources and the Administration of the University of Pittsburgh.
