Town Hall Meetings

To get input and answer questions from the Pitt community, the vice chancellor search committee held town hall meetings on Oct. 5, Oct. 4, and Sept. 29. To watch videos of the two Sept. 29 meetings, you will be required to provide your Pitt username and password.

The Search Committee

N. John Cooper, dean of the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, will lead the University’s search committee in partnership with the search firm of Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates. Committee members will come from throughout the Pitt community.

Position Description

The Senior Vice Chancellor of Research (SVCR) reports to the Chancellor and provides strategic direction for the University’s research efforts in collaboration with the Chancellor’s senior team. The SVCR provides oversight of the University’s research support operations and administration, research compliance, research computing infrastructure, economic development and innovation programs.
