Explore the Campus

Schedule a campus visit or view an online tour of Pitt academic buildings, residence halls, and student gathering spots. A panoramic view from atop Pitt’s skyscraper Cathedral of Learning reveals a unique campus.

We’re an urban campus that encourages you to develop independence and an appreciation of cultural diversity. At the same time we’re a traditional campus with plenty of green spaces, including two nearby parks.

Our hometown of Pittsburgh is full of great entertainment, shops, restaurants, theaters, galleries, museums, sports teams, and more.

Where to Live

Pitt offers a wide range of housing options. Our residence halls featuring online network access, study and recreation lounges, fitness centers, coffee carts, and special academic communities.

The University's Off-Campus Living Department provides students with the information and tools to successfully reside in off-campus accommodations. Explore the department's Renters’ Guide, apartment listings and neighborhood descriptions, and roommate and subletting services.

What to Do

Check out the PITT ARTS program (which offers discounted tickets and unique arts experiences) the Cool Pittsburgh Web site, and the following calendars to see what’s happening on campus and nearby.

Prepare for the Future

In addition to hosting career fairs and on-campus interviews, our Office of Career Development and Placement Assistance helps students with everything from choosing majors to polishing their résumés to practicing job-seeking skills in mock job interviews with our staff. We strive to help every student find the right profession and thrive after graduation.

Pitt’s Outside the Classroom Curriculum is another University-wide initiative that complements your academic studies and gives you a competitive edge in the job market.
