Global Vision for Learning
The University of Pittsburgh has a proud tradition of pioneering work in international education and research. Its University Center for International Studies is widely viewed as a model for academic organizations. In addition to its Global Studies Program and International Business Center, Pitt is home to one of only 10 European Union Centers in North America.
Coming to Pitt
The University attracts students and faculty from more than 120 nations. Each year, nearly 1,800 students from around the world attend classes at one of the University’s campuses.
Our Office of International Services is able to answer questions about enrolling or working at Pitt, traveling to the United States, and other topics.
Study Abroad
If you’re a current student at Pitt, studying abroad allows you to immerse yourself in a different culture while earning credits toward your degree.
“I learned more the semester I studied abroad than I did in my entire University career,” says alumnus Tony Fiorini, CAS ’96, “more about myself, more about my abilities and more about how the world works.”
