The City Is Our Campus

Based on its performing arts, museums, sports, health care, and safety, among other factors, Pittsburgh has been rated as America's most livable city by Forbes.com and the London-based Economist Intelligence Unit, just since 2010. The University's Pitt Arts program connects students to the extensive cultural life of the region, providing free admission to many of our neighboring museums and city events.

Experiential Learning

Through the Office of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity, Arts and Sciences undergraduates have the opportunity to become immersed in hands-on activities that emphasize the role of experience in the learning process. Our study abroad programs give students a chance to live and learn in a variety of cultural settings.
