Welcome to the Robotics and Automation Society at the University of Pittsburgh. Here you will find plenty of information about this club and what we do. It is a great way to learn and apply key concepts to building robots in a hands on environment. Students of all experience levels and majors are welcome as we will teach you everything you need to know to get started and will get everyone involved. For more information about why you may want to join the club and how to join click here...

Because of some silly naming rights the University of Pittsburgh Robotics Club is now the Robotics and Automation Society at the University of Pittsburgh. Also the email address had to be changed to RoboticsClubAtPittsburgh@gmail.com. Despite these changes we are still a club for Pitt students interested in Robotics!

Tonight we voted on the club competition for this semester, here are the results:
- Plant Caretaker - 2 (This is going to be a private project contact Crotty to get in on this.)
- Maze Runner - 8
- Tag Bots - 2
- Basketball Bots - 1
- Dancin to the Music Bots - 3
So the winner is Maze Runner! This works out nicely as we will be entering an intercollegiate competition at Penn State that involves building a bot to find its way through a maze to extinguish a candle. Here's the official link: Fire-Fighting Robot Contest & Exhibit. Due to this we will likely have our best or all maze running bots enter with a few modifications from the club as a whole, go on a kick ass road trip and hopefully pown some Penn State newb!!!
Not pleased with the Maze Runner idea? Well tough shit we're doing it! But keep in mind we have tons of money for private projects and are always looking for ideas for the next semester. So get your ass in gear and start brain storming!
Tentative group leaders and meeting times have been made (look to your right). These will more than likely change some though depending on what works for everyone. Let us know what works for you so we can decide if we need to change up the times/add another group on our new email address!
That's right we have a new Pitt Robotics Club email address pittroboticsclub@gmail.com! We'll be sending out weekly announcements and reminders to all the club members from here. If you would like to be added to the email list just send us an email here with your name and email! Also if you have any questions, comments, or complaints just shoot us an email here and one of our officers will try to get back to you within the week!
And last but not least Sumo Bot pictures from our latest and greatest in club competition have been uploaded, check em out!
