FAQ

Safety

What Pitt students say . . .

Q: What are those blue lights posted around campus?

A: Those are campus emergency phones. There are about 400 around the Pittsburgh campus and they give you a direct line to the Pitt Police.

Q: What should I do if I need a ride after dark and the buses don’t go to where I live?

A: Call SafeRider, they will pick you up and take you home, or even drive you between campus buildings.  Be sure to check their Web site to find out if where you’re going is within their boundaries.
