FAQ

Career Development

What Pitt students say . . .

Q:  Can I get a job or
internship on campus even if I don’t qualify for work/study?

A:  Yes, both career services and your academic department will give you suggestions on where to look.

Q:  How do I figure out what to do with my major?

A:  Talk to your academic counselor, upperclassmen you may know with the same major, or schedule an appointment with a career counselor at the career services office.  There are plenty of people who can help you out.

Q:  How can I work to make sure my schedule is working toward sending me where I want to go?

A:  Use GenEd filling courses to test waters, talk to advisors, professors and other students to find out what classes/majors really entail.
