Aquatic Research Facilities

Our research occurs both on campus and at our field station

On campus:

The main lab, as viewed from two different angles

Jason, being inspired by the lab's Patron Saint...The Man in Black...Johnny Cash!
My lovely wife, Christine, showing her love of the camera!

We also have two animal rooms on campus, allowing us to conduct aquatic experiments throughout the year!

At the Pymatuning field station, the University recently purchased a 130-acre farm to expand the field station's research facilities

We broke ground for the new lab in August 2002.

We can currently run ~600 experimental mesocosms at one time (cattle tanks and wading pools).

This farm also has space for our future construction of experimental ponds.

The aquatic facility also is surrounded by a lot of natural ponds (that's Rick standing next to a beauty of a pond). Missouri pond

Collectively, these facilities allow us to conduct outstanding aquatic research!
