• Postdoctoral Award - funds for individuals who have recently received PhDs to perform research or study, usually under the guidance of a mentor, but sometimes not in the humanities or social sciences.

• Training or Scholarship or Fellowship - funding in the form of scholarships, internships, fellowships, specialized training that advances the individual's knowledge of the area, not the area itself.

Examine these search results or re-sort them by clicking on the column headings--Relevance, Title, Sponsor, Deadline and Amount. Then refine or broaden your query, as necessary, by clicking on the Refine Your Query hyperlink located at the top of the COS search results screen. This link will take you to another search form that allows you to add terms to the current search. (Note: previous search query terms are used—field boxes selections are highlighted)

Use this option to narrow the search if you find that the current results are too large or broad in scope. (Hint: find a grant that matches your need and see what terms and keywords are used to describe it)
