As of July 2008, Pitt has a total of 2,218 ETDs submitted by ETD authors from 12 of its graduate and professional schools and the University Honors College. Individuals from over ninety different countries outside of the United States have accessed Pitt ETDs.
From March 2001 to July 2008, Pitt ETDs have been accessed well over 3,280,000 times. Over 996,000 distinct users have visited the ETD site as measured across monthly intervals. The chart below shows the number of unique visitors by month from July 2007 through June 2008.
An ETD use is defined as a retrieval of at least one file associated with a given ETD within a 30-minute period by a given computer (user). Retrievals of multiple files associated with the same ETD within a 30-minute period from a given computer (user) are being counted as one.
