Japanese Courses

1021 Third Year Japanese 2

2081 SPRING 2008 10036 Howard

1. This is the second semester of the third-year Japanese language course. The goal of this course is the development of a broad competency in speaking and reading the language in a variety of contexts covering a wide range of academic and cultural interests. Increasingly complex conversational situations will be practiced. The selection of reading materials is made in such a way that 500 of the most frequently used Kanji will be covered.

2. Prerequisite: Japanese 1020.

3. Recitation with native Japanese instructors.

4. Expected class size is 10 students.

5. This course is offered regularly during spring term.

SUMMER DATES: 3rd 4-week session: July 5 - August 2, 2008 (meets 10-11:50 and 1-4:50 in total, including recitation -- you must also register for a recitation section). Register for JPNSE 1020 for the first half of "Third Year Japanese". These are 2 four-week sessions, totalling 8 weeks (not 10 weeks like First- and Second- Year Japanese intensive)
