Chinese Major
The departmental major in Chinese is individually constructed for each student. Specific course selections will, therefore, differ as a reflection of the student’s interests and priorities. In general, programs will comprise the following elements:
-
MODERN LANGUAGE SKILLS. Completion of Spoken and Reading courses in the Chinese Language Program through Chinese 1006 and 1021.
-
RELATED AREAS. Completion of a selection of courses, both inside and outside the department, which complement the language acquisition program and are convincingly related to its purposes.
