Synthetic Studies of Combinatorial Libraries Aimed at Regulating Gene Expression

We have designed small molecule libraries with novel framework mimicking the functional alpha-helix domains of proteins. These molecules are as complex and rigid as biologically active natural products. Once synthesized, these library compounds will be screened to identify regulators of gene expression at various levels such as transcription, translation, nuclear transport, and RNA processing.
