My 1991 R100GS/Paris Dakar
This is, by far, my favorite Beemer. It's a blast to take up to the
mountains and ride trails and logging roads all day long. The PD takes
the bumps without bit of concern.
You just don't want to have to pick
this bike up off the ground if it has a full tank of gas. It holds 9.5
gals (appx. 70 lbs) of fuel. And the tank rides high on the frame. With
this much capacity, though, you do get a range of about 340 miles before you
hit reserve!
Lots of speed. Lots of maneuverability, and lots of comfort. This is a
great machine...if you can find one.
I've had the bike since June of 1995. This was my second motorcycle!
