| The University of Pittsburgh School of
Nursing is located in the Victoria
Building, which is one block north of Fifth Avenue between Lothrop
and Darragh streets. It is in the midst of the
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the Oakland section
of Pittsburgh. The blue and white awnings above both Victoria Building
entrances clearly identify the School of Nursing. Whether you are
a newly admitted student or a visitor to the Victoria Building, the
following information will help you find your way to the School of
Nursing and find a place to park. |

| Directions to Oakland from North |
| Take Interstate 79 south to Exit 21, Interstate 279 south. Near
downtown, take Exit 14 to Interstate 579, Veterans Bridge, and follow
signs to Interstate 376 east, Monroeville/Liberty Bridge. Follow signs
to Oakland/Monroeville, and take the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit. Proceed
less than one half mile. Take the first right onto the Forbes Avenue
access ramp. Follow Forbes to Oakland Avenue; turn left. Follow Oakland
to Fifth Avenue; turn left. Get in the right lane. Follow Fifth
to Lothrop Street; turn right. The School of Nursing entrance is one
block up the hill on the right. |

| Directions to Oakland from East |
| From the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76), take
Exit 6, Pittsburgh/Monroeville, to Interstate 376 west. Follow 376
to Exit 7A, Oakland, to Bates Street. Follow Bates to Atwood Street;
turn left. Follow Atwood to Forbes Avenue; turn right. Follow Forbes
to Oakland Avenue; turn left. Follow Oakland to Fifth Avenue; turn
left. Get in the right lane. Follow Fifth to Lothrop Street; turn
right. The School of Nursing entrance is one block up the hill on
the right. |

| Directions to Oakland from South |
| Take Interstate 79 north to Exit 14. Take Interstate
279 north, following signs to Interstate 376 east through the Fort
Pitt Tunnel. From the right lane of the Fort Pitt Bridge, take 376
east, Exit 8. Follow 376 east and take Exit 5, Forbes Avenue/Oakland.
Follow Forbes to Oakland Avenue; turn left. Follow Oakland to Fifth
Avenue; turn left. Get in the right lane. Follow Fifth to Lothrop
Street; turn right. The School of Nursing entrance is one block up
the hill on the right. |

| Bus Service to Oakland from Downtown |
| Local buses numbered 71 (A, C, or D) and 61 (A, B, or C) travel
into Oakland and may be boarded along Fifth Avenue downtown. The buses
then travel along Forbes Avenue in Oakland. For information, contact
