May 9, 2013. On the way to Washington, DC, for New Directions in the Foundations of Physics conference. The Greyhound bus broke down 25 miles outside of Washington. We were delayed for 2 hours until they could patch the engine coolant system and refill it.

Pittsburgh, PA, June 27, 2009. I've finally realized the ambition of
keeping a sailboat on Pittsburgh's rivers.

The University of Geneva's Summer School in Philosophy of Physics was held
in Arolla in the Swiss Alps, near a glacier. We climbed up to it, July 30,
2008.

At our Center's Quadrennial Fellows Conference in Athens, Ohio, we went on
an excursion that included a little canoe trip on the Hocking River. July 22,
