As of August 1, 2007, Pitt has a total of 1,716 ETDs submitted by ETD authors from 12 of its graduate and professional schools and the University Honors College. Individuals from over ninety different countries outside of the United States have accessed Pitt ETDs. In total, available Pitt ETDs have been accessed well over 500,000 times. An ETD use is defined as a retrieval of at least one file associated with a given ETD within a 30-minute period by a given computer (user). Retrievals of multiple files associated with the same ETD within a 30-minute period from a given computer (user) are being counted as one.
