A Message from the Board

      Welcome to the official website for the Fraternal Association of Professional Paramedics. We are very excited to unveil our new website. Please feel free to browse around. If you have any ideas or comments; please send them HERE.


Our website was created in order to communicate with our members and non-members who are interested in learning about our profession here in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Founded in 1978, the Fraternal Association of Professional Paramedics was formed in order to bring together fellow members of the EMS community with the intention to surge forward, as one, becoming the best we can be. Today the Union is made up of six locals including Pittsburgh EMS, Valley Ambulance Authority, PRISM Health Services, McKeesport Ambulance and Rescue, Medical Rescue Team South, and Munhall EMS. While these services span a broad spectrum, they are all joined by the Union allowing us to speak and move together as one.

The Fraternal Association of Professional Paramedics encourages all members to take an active role in their union and to visit this site for news, updates, future events and to Email thoughts and suggestions. Most importantly, we wish our members to revel in their work and to put their best effort forward in all of their endeavors.
