Brian Primack, MD, EdM Assistant Professor Brian A. Primack, MD, EdM, graduated summa cum laude and AOA from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He completed his postgraduate training at UPMC Saint Margaret Memorial Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to medical training, Dr. Primack obtained a master's degree from Harvard University in Human Development and Psychology. He also worked as a teacher, counselor, and Dean of Students for adolescent populations from Boston to West Africa. His current research interests include the impact of mass media upon health and the utility of media literacy education in health promotion. Dr. Primack is also interested in elimination of health disparities and primary care treatment of psychiatric disorders. He maintains an active practice at the Matilda Theiss Health Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Avocations include guitar, singing, and community service. |
