The biological Sciences are a growing discipline. The classroom/lecture experience provides a strong background in the Biological Sciences, but for some tpoics, there can be no substitute for hands-on laboratory experience. The Department maintains numerous laboratories in the Clapp/Langley/Crawford complex committed to providing state-of-the-art instruction to undergraduates in the Biological Sciences. These include the following:

• The Foundations of Biology Laboratories on the ground floor of Clapp Hall
• The Vertebrate Morphology Laboratories on the first floor of Clapp Hall
• The Advanced Molecular Genetics Laboratory on the first floor of Langley Hall
• The Microbiology Laboratory on the first floor of Clapp Hall
• The Cell Biology Laboratory on the first floor of Langley Hall
• The Developmental Biology Laboratory on the first floor of Langley Hall
• The Eukaryotic cell culture facility for undergraduates
