An academic department functions as an integrated group of professionals, where each individual contributes to the missions of the group. The Department of Biological Sciences comprises nearly 200 people; to learn more about us - or to contact us - look within the groups listed to the left. Individuals who have left the Department of Biological Sciences - especially former Post-doc's, graduate students, and undergraduate researchers - are encouraged to keep us up-to-date as to what they're doing. The Department of Biological Sciences is also engaged in a vigorous recruitment effort, and plans to hire 10 new tenure-stream faculty in the next 5 years.
