  NMR Center

The University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University have established a collaborative center for biomedical NMR research located across the street from the Clapp/Langley/Crawford complex at Carnegie-Mellon University. This research facility emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to biomedical problems that lend themselves to investigation by NMR imaging and spectroscopy. NMR imaging is used to define anatomical abnormalities, and spectroscopy is used to monitor biochemical events in selected regions of living cells, tissues, and organs of living animals.

The center is currently headed by Dr. Chien Ho.
